Children Diabetes Fund

At the Children Diabetes Fund, we work to ensure that children in need receive access to vital insulin. Additionally, we are dedicated to educating the public about diabetes, focusing on prevention and early detection to reduce its impact.

The two primary goals of our organization

Bringing Life-Saving Diabetes Care to Children in Developing Countries

Our community fundraising events are a lifeline for children battling diabetes, especially those from developing countries who struggle to afford essential insulin and medical care. Many of these children face daily hardships due to limited resources, but with your support, we can help provide them with the treatment they need to manage their condition. By joining our efforts, you are making a profound impact on the lives of children who need it most, giving them the chance to live healthier and brighter futures.

Building Healthier Futures: Educating Children on Preventing Diabetes Through Healthy Habits

At the Children Diabetes Fund, we believe that prevention is just as important as treatment. We are dedicated to educating children about healthy living habits that can help prevent diabetes. Through our programs, we teach the importance of balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle from a young age. By empowering children with knowledge and practical tools, we aim to reduce the risk of diabetes and foster healthier futures for generations to come.

Founder’s Statement

Diabetes knows no age limits. It doesn’t discriminate. The disease even affects the youngest among us. Imagine the courage of a child facing the daily challenges of managing their blood sugar levels. A lifestyle that's anything but typical.

In the summer of 9th grade, I embarked on a tennis servicing trip with my school team to Anguilla, a small island in the Caribbeans. Anguilla was a beautiful place, a tourist hotspot within the Caribbeans; however, its luxurious resort sector only takes up a third of the island. What most tourists will not see is the derelict buildings scattered across the rest of Anguilla, destroyed by Hurricane Irma in 2017. Most will not know about the struggles locals face to support themselves, Anguilla’s economy weakened by the COVID-19 Pandemic, depriving the island of tourism.

Although I came to Anguilla to host tennis workshops for the local youth, I gained so much more from the experience, seeing firsthand how problematic diabetes can be for families. Josie, the host of the villa we were living in gave me an opportunity to meet Sadiki, a young boy who I would learn suffered from Type I Diabetes. He was raised by a hardworking single mother, working long hours at the local Four Seasons, but still struggled to make enough for both Sadiki’s medication and basic necessities.

Seeing someone so young go through such a difficult illness changed my approach to life, as I realized how blessed I was to be of good health and living in a privileged family. But a simple paradigm shift wasn’t enough; meeting Sadiki face-to-face inspired me to take action.

The Children’s Diabetes Fund is my way of paying the privilege that I was blessed with forward. This non-profit organization is dedicated to providing financial support to diabetic children across the world and spreading awareness about the disease. By supporting the Children’s Diabetes Fund, you join the fight against diabetes and give these children another tomorrow.
